Lynqpod › Dentally integration
IntegrationLynqpod and Dentally
Dentally is a good record of what happened. It was never meant to work out what an associate is owed, fill a cancelled chair at 4pm, or tell you which advert paid for itself. That is the part Lynqpod does, without asking you to move anything.
How the connection works
- A read-only key to start. Lynqpod reads appointments, patients, payments and practitioners. Nothing is written back.
- A local mirror. The data is kept in your own database so pages open instantly and a bad afternoon for the API is not a bad afternoon for you.
- Webhooks for the things that cannot wait. A cancellation reaches Lynqpod in about a second, which is what makes filling the slot possible at all.
- Writing back, only if you want it. With write access, an online booking can go straight into the diary. Without it, every booking becomes a request reception approves.
What Lynqpod adds
| Question a practice has | Where it is answered today | With Lynqpod |
|---|---|---|
| What is each associate owed this month? | Exported reports, then a spreadsheet | A payslip that opens to the appointments behind every total |
| Where is the diary empty next week? | Scrolling the diary | Free time listed and ranked, longest gaps first |
| Somebody just cancelled: who else wants it? | Ringing round from memory | The waiting list is asked automatically |
| Which advert brought that patient? | Guesswork, or a click count | Booked and attended appointments tied to the click |
| Can a patient book at 11pm? | A form that lands in an inbox | Real free time, booked or requested there and then |
What stays in Dentally
Clinical notes, charting, imaging, the patient record itself, and the diary as the single source of truth about what is booked. Lynqpod holds no clinical data and does not attempt to.
What happens when Dentally is slow or down
Pages carry on working from the local mirror, marked as of when they were last read. Anything that would have to invent an answer refuses instead: a booking page will say it cannot offer times rather than offer a time it cannot stand behind.
The honest limit. Lynqpod is only as good as what is recorded. If treatment is entered inconsistently, or payments are allocated to the wrong clinician, Lynqpod reproduces that faithfully. The first month is usually spent finding those, which is uncomfortable and worth it.
Common questions
Does Lynqpod work with other practice management systems?
The design separates reading the diary from everything else, so another system is a matter of writing a new reader. Dentally is the one in production today.
Will it change anything in Dentally without us knowing?
No. Writing is off until you switch it on, and when it is on the only things written are appointments you approved and, for advertising, conversions into your own ad account.
How current is the data?
Cancellations and changes arrive by webhook within about a second. A fuller sweep runs hourly for the near term and daily across the booking horizon.

The quickest way to judge Lynqpod is to point it at a month you already know. Read-only to start: nothing is written back to your practice management system until you ask for it.
